Flights to Brisbane

Brisbane and the surrounding area has some great wildlife experiences to be enjoyed. Arguably best is the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, just a few miles from the city centre, where you can get up close and personal with the adorable creatures (there’s even the option to hold one and pose for a photograph). You also see kangaroos, ostriches and other Aussie wildlife.

Brisbane is working to become a more eco-friendly city through a number of sustainable efforts and practices. You can join in by making use of public transport, biking or simply walking around instead of driving from place to place. Brisbane even has some free public transportation options that make it easy to do so. There’s also eco-friendly accommodation options, too.

Yup! Brisbane is as safe as other big cities, so while you should take some precautions—avoiding walking around alone at night when possible, keeping an eye on your belongings, etc.—you can feel assured that Brisbane is a vibrant and safe city. While some areas have a bit of a rougher reputation (i.e. many locals advise avoiding the Fountain Valley at night), the city as a whole, and particularly the city centre, is quite safe, both day and night.
